These Ludlow matrix gauges are hard to come by, so much so that if I were to lose my one I’d be buggered. So, I decided it might be a good idea to redraw it to scale as a vector image – just in case I ever needed to make a replacement…

The gauge works by identifying the lines on the back of all Ludlow matrices, which gives corresponding reference to a list so that you can easily find out the size, and face of the mats.

I thought it might be useful for others as well, so here’s a pdf file below for you to download and use as you wish. Even if you’re unable to machine this from metal like the original, you should still be able to print this files at 100% size and use as a reference. Happy casting!
